LetzQ Spit Holder
The LetzQ Spit Holder is a convenient replacement for the standard handle on your rotisserie. The idea is that you can cook a kebab, or something similar, and when cooked, you turn the spit into a vertical position, and the holder acts as a stand. You can then carve your kebabs vertically as they would do in a kebab shop.
How big is it?
The LetzQ Spit Holder is a 25cm diameter stainless steel plate with a threaded nut welded to its centre.
You fit this to the spit by unscrewing the spit handle and replacing it with the Spit Holder.
In most cases you can use the Spit Holder attached to your spit while the food is cooking. This assumes you have 12.5cm clearance from the centre of the spit to any table below.
Will the LetzQ Spit Holder fit the Big Green Egg rotisserie?
Yes, the LetzQ Spit Holder has the same thread size as the Big Green Egg Rotisseries for Large and Extra-Large, so you can use it with their products.
What about the Joetisserie?
The LetzQ Spit Holder will not work with the Joetisserie as Kamado Joe designed their product without a handle.
Carving your food
We’ve found we can cook with the Spit Holder attached. Once the meat or veg has cooked, you can lift the spit off your barbecue and stand it vertically.
We like stand our spit in a roasting tray so that any juices are caught as the food rests. you can then use a knife to carve the meat off the spit and the roasting tray will also then capture the food.
